Beholding Glory:
How the Holiness of God Changes Us

Have you ever stumbled over the command that God’s people are to be holy even as he is holy? Holiness is a tough sell in today’s culture, yet in Scripture it finds its definition in God’s transcendence and absolute purity. How do we function in our culture as people who are set apart yet committed to lives of love, healing, and reconciliation? Join us as we dive into the ways that God’s holiness gloriously changes us and equips us for service.

Our annual leadership reTREAT will help you step off the treadmill of expectations and leave the pressures of daily life and ministry behind. It is a time to restore your soul and body and replenish your spirit; it is a time to be nurtured and cared for by other sisters in Christ. As women who are involved in leading and serving, we need the body of Christ and the bonding fellowship of loving sisters who are sharing, praying, and holding one another accountable.

Our time together will feature a variety of elements:

  • Meaningful and inspirational worship

  • Special guest speaker Maggie Rowe (https://www.maggierowe.com/) will be speaking twice on Saturday and at Sunday’s general session on “Beholding Glory: How the Holiness of God Changes Us”

  • A relaxed time of fun to connect with old and new friends

  • Personal quiet time and prayer

  • Ministry relevant breakout sessions

Breakout Sessions

  • “Margin for the Sacred” - led by Sharon Gamble

  • “Depth Perception” - led by Tori Hammond

Spa Night

This year's retreat will include a no-additional-charge Saturday Night Spa-a-ah Experience! This will entail your choice of four Do-It-Yourself (DIY) spa offerings. Choose one or do all four! We have very limited slots to offer, so sign up when you register for the retreat to ensure you save your spot in these fun evening activities.

There are four stations:

  1. Sugar Hand Scrub – Create your own hand scrub to take home. Choose from a variety of essential oils if a fragrance is desired.

  2. Nail Station – Choose one from a variety of colors and decorations. This station will also be stocked with nail files, cotton balls, and nail polish remover. Take home the nail polish you chose for this activity for at-home brush ups!

  3. Aromatherapy Prayer Station – Sit back and listen to calm worship music playing as you pray. Turn on the essential oil diffuser if desired and relax as you commune with God.

  4. Health Foods Bar – Chat with friends current and new while enjoying healthy foods and a selection of Spa waters in pretty carafes.

OUR WORSHIP LEADER

Nichole DiVietro serves at Bedford Road Baptist Church in Merrimack, New Hampshire, alongside her husband, Erik. She comes from a musical family and has worked with music teams and choirs for over twenty years. In addition, she teaches piano and voice to children and adults. Her passion is using music to encourage others in their journey with Christ, and she views the piano as an altar to pour out her devotion to the Lord. Nichole’s musical influences include Rich Mullins, Michael Card, and Kathy Troccoli.

HELP A GREAT CAUSE

We will once again collect items for Jasmine Grace Outreach Bags of Hope. Women who are homeless or in programs throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire are given bags filled with basic items that we take for granted every day to reach out to vulnerable women in a practical way. Jasmine’s story, outlined in her book, “The Diary of Jasmine Grace,” opens a door into her life as a prostitute and drug addict. In her diary she shares the struggles that eventually landed her a seat in a 12-step program, a job in the anti-trafficking movement and a place in a community church.

Jasmine reveals the strengths, vulnerabilities, and processes that changed her. Jasmine discusses how faith influenced her, and she sheds light on the road to recovery, relapse, and redemption. You can read more about this ministry at https://www.jasminegrace.org/bags-of-hope

Items Needed for the Bags of Hope

Shampoo, 12 ounces | Conditioner, 12 ounces | Toothpaste and toothbrushes | Deodorant | Feminine products | Sanitary wipes | Lip balm/ChapStick | Hairbrushes and elastics | Trail Mix | Winter hats, gloves, and scarves | Cute socks | Dunkin Donut gift cards | Visa Gift Cards

We will be receiving donations for this great cause! Please bring an item with you when you come. It can be something as small and simple as a brush, ChapStick, or deodorant. We’ll be collecting all of the items and sending them to the ministry for them to distribute to those in need. Thank you for your help in ministering to these dear women!

Our Venue

Singing Hills is a rustic and cozy Christian camp that is nestled into the hills of Plainfield, NH. You’ll enjoy the gorgeous Maple Chapel and the many comfortable areas for gathering and connecting, including comfy couches and a stone fireplace. During your free time, take a walk on the gorgeous grounds, spend some time down by the pond, or relax in one of the common spaces. Singing Hills has let us know that you can even come early at 1 PM on Friday to take a hike! On Friday night (weather permitting), there will be a bonfire and s’mores.

Food

Oh my, the food! The chefs at Singing Hills lovingly prepare a wide variety of delicious meals and treats. And you’ll have no dishes to wash for a whole weekend! Singing Hills will even accommodate dietary restrictions, so please let us know about your allergies and intolerances when you register. (To receive dietary accommodations, you must let us know about your allergies by March 29 so that Singing Hills has time to prepare.) During this weekend, you’ll receive Friday snacks, Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday breakfast and lunch.

Our sleeping accommodations include various room types with different pricing for each tier:

  • $235 for a dorm-style room (6-9 people) with a community bathroom

  • $250 for a semi-private room (2-4 people) with an attached shared bathroom

*Prices increase by $10 after April 10.

“Where can women in leadership be refreshed? We’re always ‘on’ whether we are teaching, planning, leading, or delegating. We need a place to let down and let go-to connect with other women and to be fed so our cup is refilled. The by design reTREAT is it-a place to refresh, share ideas, pray and be in God’s presence so we can hear His direction for our next step.

I attended the reTREAT and met wonderful kindred sisters. We connected over meals and heard from speakers on topics that we encounter. And, we left feeling like family. It is so good to know I am not alone out there. God has an army of women on the front lines and they can become my rear guard as I serve in my local church and community. One favorite moment of the weekend was when we all broke out singing the Doxology in the dining hall. Voices raised. Perfect harmony. Clear and strong. It was such a beautiful picture of God’s daughters working in unity, according to our giftededness, for the Kingdom.”
